AVAAZ New Year Pool
Dear friends,
My name Anton Miroshnichenko. I'm 27 years old, I live in Kyiv city, Ukraine.
I was as a NGO representative at COP15 and see on my own eyes your daily work.
I wish to say thank you for all things that you do - building movement and social activity all around the globe.
Here in Ukraine me and my community try to do our best to share your voice through our activity, our local actions, educational programs, way of our living, etc.
I have two things I would like to say to all of you. It is very concrete things about our and your work and lifestyle.
First:
It is great building the movement and taking an actions. But we must go ahead. Our next step must be deliberate consumption. It may be efficient way of public affection to the industry. It can do anybody. We must choose only ecological goods that not only safe and "green"(not contain GMOs, etc). We must design producer with a choice - to transform one's technology cycle to nature-safe manufacturing or we will boycott one's goods.
We must learn so that we may see and understand technological cycles of goods producers. For example - if producer use carbon and oil as energy source in it technological cycle instead of using renewable energy, even if it produces "green" goods - we must boycott such production.
So we must teach us and then all other people how to do such things.
The key thoughts is:
1) It can do anybody anywhere on the planet - it is an answer for the question "What can I do personally?".
2) Making a pressure for goods producers directly instead of pressure for the governments in some situations will be more effective
3) Everybody want to use quality production, so we must raise quality standards. I think we can.
And second:
Today we see how people join around many of worldwide problems. It is all about you write here, in New Year Poll.
What unites people? Values. Due to rising human values we now have global climate movement. It is the true nature of the people - to stretch to higher available values, and of course to reach them.
I must say you something you may be surprised (especially I was).
Now we have something here, in the Earth, that with the greatly expression carry to us most of the available to human substantial values.
It called "Urantia book". It never leave you indifferent. I absolutely certain that today it is one of the most important and inspirational books around the world. Certainly it contain values that will unite all kind of people of our world one day. We can use it today.
It will be great if you'll find here something for better year 2010 coordination program or something else.
